polucystic ovaries

dear everybody,

my wife is polycystic and we have been trying to have a child for the last 10 months with no success.
she takes glysophage tablets and feels shy to tell me the real problem.
i have very little knowledge about polycystic ovaries.
but now i am quiet tensed about the whole thing.
our gynaechologist says there is nothing to worry about and its justra matter of time.
i got tested for sperm count and it was all fine.
can someone please tell me what is polycystic ovaries and how can we treat it.
also she has irregular periods sometimes.

I Have pcos and with my first I needed no intervention to get pregnant but with my second I had to take clomid and metformin and conceived a few months later with my now 4 month old. I am Aldo pregnant again 10 weeks and needed no intervention but that's probably because I got pregnant so soon after birth and you are more fertile. Talk to her ob about clomid and metformin I know a lot of people with pcos have great lick with those meds!

you should type in PCOS in the search bar at the top and you will see there is articles, groups just for PCOS, blogs, and health pages... and more to find imformation about PCOS...

i know some about the subject but not enough to give my advice... but 2 of my friends who have it both have had 2 healthy pregnancys so with the right treatment it is possible to concieve, and another note would be that getting pregnant for any couple can take over a year so i think thats why the Dr is still saying give it time...
