hello ladies imgoing to be a first time mommy im currently 32 wks and 6days and i was wondering the bleeding that happens immediatley after delivery that lasts up to 6 wks is it heavy or really yucky feeling.....i also plan to breast feed so will that help with the bleeding?

I had my 3rd baby 5 weeks ago, have breastfed all three and bled for 5 weeks each time. With the 1st & 2nd I got my period back at 6 weeks, so I'm expecting it any day now..

Im not sure but I think breast feeding def helping with the bleeding. With my first I bled for 5 weeks and was heavy for most of it. I tries breast feeding but didnt make enough, i was 15, and stopped after a week or two. With my second I only bled 2 weeks and after the first week it was like a period and I was only able to breast feed for 8 weeks. But idk if it was becuz it was my first, becuz I was so young or becuz I was able to breast feed with my second... but I def bled alot more and alot longer with my first.

I'm breastfeeding and i bled for about 2 Weeks, and now in my third week im just spotting. Barely any bleeding. I don't know if the breastfeeding has any effect on it though? For me, it was a little heavy the first few days but then it was like a normal period.

Breast feeding helps your uterus contract, not sure if it would help the bleeding go quicker. I managed to bf for just over a week with my last baby (my third) and it gave me horrible pains from the contracting, but I believe that pain only really kicks in the more babies you have, this is the first time I experienced it. My bleeding lasted around 3wks, 2 heavy and the third spotting off and on (which I found more frustrating cos every time I thought I was done it would start again!) Its not pleasant, it never is, but you are so busy adjusting, its the least of your worries!

I bled a decent amount for almost 2 weeks. Now I can just wear thin pad and have hardly any bleeding im almost 4 weeks pp. Hopefully you won't have a lot if bleeding for long.
