pre-eclampsia? :/

I had a check up on 3/27. My BP was 138/88. My BP is normally 92/72 no higher than 112/74, unless something is wrong with me. They scheduled me to come back in 2 weeks, April 11th.. I'm so nervous and have been trying to drink water like crazy and eat on the far spectrum of extreme super healthy. They told me one of the worries was pre-eclampsia. I was reading about it in my baby book and am so scared I'm going to get that. The idea with having seizures and my baby being delivered early bc of it just doesn't sit with me well. I just want a healthy pregnancy :/ anyone else have high BP issues?

Before anyone else comments on this, I posted it when I was waiting between appointments. I was not and still am not sitting around worried about me having pre-eclampsia. It was simply one of the options my doctor discussed with me when they first saw the spike in my BP. I was curious if anyone had anything to share on high BP or pre-eclampsia. I have already seen my doctor again and they believe it's anxiety related as I have commented before. I've had anxiety for years before I was pregnant. (For anyone who truly has it, they know its not something you can help. But I cope with it just fine). & no I don't not smoke.

I didn't think they could diagnose pre-e until after 20 weeks? I've always had high bp 150/100 and they've run protein tests which have come back fine. I'm 24 weeks and still no pre-e which will hopefully stay that way but you stressing thinking oh I've got this isn't helping. Bp runs high for so many different things. I think I'd be asking for a second opinion.

Sorry to hear that excited&blessed. My Dr's appt Monday, I still had a high BP of 134/92. I was so upset when the nurse said that. Then they did the rest of my appt (listened to the baby's heart beat) and checked it again and it dropped to 120/79. My doctor wasn't concerned with that reading. But they are still keeping my appointments close. Possibly anxiety related.

At my 35 week appt. I had high blood pressure and very swollen feet and they tested me for pre-eclampsia. It was the only time I had high blood pressure and I was freakin' out 'cuz of the research I did about It. It came out negative, thank goodness, and they told me It was from dehydration which I could believe 'cuz I literally woke up, got dressed and left to the appt.. Didn't eat or drink anythin'. Came back at my 36 week appt. and my bp was normal and they didn't run anymore tests. So, I hope the same goes for you, I wish you the best of luck, let us know how things goes!

Arianna92 in my both baby books it says it could lead to seizures. That's where I got that info from. I haven't actually had seizures yet. Just when I saw that I was like oh my! Scary thought. Just was basically putting that in there to see if anyone who has had pre-eclampsia had seizures.

Thanks camisutton88 for the info! I guess I should tell my doctor about my anxiety. I never spoke with one before bc I didn't want to be put on medications for it like the people in the rest of my family.. I'm weird about stuff like that I guess... I also have a very stressful job that I hate. 911 dispatcher, 12 hour night shifts.

thank you all for your prayers. I will comment on this again after my doctors appointment with updates!

I had pre eclampsia with my first they delivered her at 35 weeks, i did not have seizures because they caught it in time but, they were concerned that at 18 weeks with this one i had it again and, out turned out to be stress related they can put you on medication to help with symptoms so you don't get it.
