preg but have pds?

my husband and i r trying to conceive. i've been really tired, bloated, have tender (but not sore) breasts, and headaches. my pds are fairly short normally (4 days, 5 max), cramping is usually intense for the first day or two. unfortunatly, i just started my pd 3 days ago, but cramping has been just about non-existant. the bleeding is slowing down and showing signs of possibly being almost over. is it possible for women to have periods during the first month or two and still be pregnant? or is it just wishful thinking on my part. my mother says that she had a period while pregnant with me for the first 3 months.

As SillyRenee said, you don't have a period in early pregnancy. It would be considered bleeding during pregnancy, but not a period by definition.

A period without cramps is not indicative of pregnancy.

it's never an actual period that women experience during pregnancy.  your mother experienced bleeding which can be normal in early pregnancy and often mistaken for a "period".  since you stated that your period is 4-5 days and it's been almost 4 already and you are still bleeding, i would say this is your actual period regardless of whether or not you have cramps.  if you are still concerned, you could take a HPT.
