pregnancy induced carpal tunnel- anyone else had this?

So, my hands have been hurting for several weeks now, especially during the night, and when I first wake up.  My OB said that its pregnancy induced carpal tunnel and to wear braces at night. I wear them every night, and they definitely do help...I can TELL when I haven't worn them!  But in the last week or so,  my fingertips have become numb and tingly. I really don't want to go to a physical therapist to get specialized braces, since I have less than 2 weeks until my scheduled C-section. But I'm worried that I could do permanent damage to my nerves and that the numbness could become permanent if I dont' go.  Has anyone had this while they were pregnant?  Did anything help?  Did it go away after you delivered, and if so, how long did it take?

I had it as well, I didn't do anything for it, actually the weird part is when I'd wake up I'd bend my hand down and gently push and my wrist would pop, it'd make it feel much better, and it only started doing the popping when I was pregnant, and feeling the carpal tunnel symptoms. It went away soon after Elijah's birth, I don't remember how long for sure but it was quick.

it seemed to stem from at night. No matter how I slept I woke up and they were numb. As pregnancy advanced it would become an all day thing:~(

Were they numb just at night or all day?  Mine are numb and tingly 24 hours a day.  The pain is worst overnight and in the morning, but the numbness seems to get worse as the day goes on.

I had it really bad with my last pregnancy. I didnt want to beleive it was pregnancy related but everyone told me it was. My hands would get so numb while I was sleeping I would sometimes be in tears. It went away a few weeks after my DD was born. Only a few more weeks to go!! I would keep using the brace if it helps:~)
