pregnancy or what?

i was suppose to have my second period since i've been off the nuvaring. i had my first one but i'm eight days late on my next period. could nuvaring have anything to do with it? is it too soon to tell with a pregnancy test??

I just got pregnant while on the nuvaring for the first time. I had it in for 3 weeks before I knew I was pregnant. I'm not 10 weeks. The first pregnancy test I took when 3 weeks past ovulation was negative and then the next day with the cheap pink tests from walmart 2 were quick positives.

After coming off of ANY Type of hormonal based birth control it can affect your cycles for several months.  Your first period will usually be normal becuase you still have enough hormone in your system to regulate it, but as the synthetic hormone levels decrease your body has to work to reregulate the natural hormone production.  For piece of mind you could take a pregnancy test.  If you have had unprotected sex since coming off nuva ring you do have a chance of pregnancy.  If its negative however it's most likely due to coming off the BC.

I was on the nuvaring and since coming off have very irregular periods, 8, 10, 11 days difference. i'm hoping it'll settle down but ihave heard other woman have had similar problems with it.

I dont know much about nuvaring.in fact i know nothing at all about it.but if your 8 days late now,certainly worth testing...
