pregnant or not?
Ok so I have taken 4 home pregnancy tests with first response. The fist one was positive the second was negative the 3rd was positive again and then I went to the doctor last night and they said it was negative and also did a blood test and was also negative but I still feel like I am pregnant. Then the next morning I took the last home pregnancy test I had and it was blank so i dont know what to think right now. Please help cuz I really believe that I am pregnant?
First Response are the most sensitive tests on the market, but most any pink dye test will work. Answer, Dollar Store, First Response, etc etc.
ok thank you so much. i also think i might go get another box of tests and maybe take one more tonight and one more in the morning and then save the last one for after im suppose to get my period. what kind you u think i should get for best results for me right now?
Based on the positive tests, I would say yes you would be as false positive tests are extremely rare to have.

Doctors tests are far less sensitive than OTC tests, and if you took it later in the day it's likely going to be negative. I can't even count the number of people with negative urine tests and positive blood tests.
Lol, so you aren't even due yet either? That ALSO is likely why you're getting negative results and could be pregnant. If testing early it's even more important to use a very sensitive test and to always use FMU. Wait until you are supposed to get your period and retest or see your doctor.

No i really want to be pregnant like really bad and this has been the first time in 5 years that i have taken a test and it came back positive and i was shocked cuz i wasnt planning on being pregnant or anything but when i saw that it said positive i was super excited. especially cuz i got 2 that came back positive ya know. and then when i went to the doctors last night and they told me it was negative was got super depressed and now i want a kid more than anything. so thats why im trying to figure out if i am or not cuz i really want to be but im scared im not since the doctor said it was negative. but i still really feel like i am like my body feels like it and my emotions/heart keep telling me that i am and i just dont want to be scared anymore. and the another thing that is keeping me scared is that im not suppose to get my period for another 2 days but i still hope i am. what do you think
I'm not too sure I understand what your worry is. Are you hoping that the tests are wrong? If you took it in the morning and it was positive, chances are it's correct and you ARE pregnant. False positives are extremely rare to have.
well what about the one i did take with the first urine of the day when i took it at 6am that was the 2nd one that came back positive and thats one of the reasons why i am worried cuz last time i was pregnant i used the same kind and took it right in the morning when i woke up and it was also positive?
Ooooh. You used digital tests. That also explains a lot as well and is also why you're getting inaccurate answers. Digitals are less sensitive than the standard tests, and coupled with testing later in the day would give you weird answers. Use a different test (NOT digitals) and test with first morning urine. Not at night or in the morning. Make sure to read the results within 3 minutes and if that's positive you need to see your doctor again. You also need to make sure that before you take your doctors test that you do NOT drink a lot of fluids before you go and you hold your urine for at least 4+ hours.
lol i looked at them right away. they are the tests that say pregnant or not pregnant on them. the first one i took was while i was still constipated. so i went pee and took the test and while i was waiting to see what it said i ended up going poop. lol....anyways so while i was still waiting i was like ok so its going to say not pregnant and when i looked at it, it ended up saying pregnant.
I think it might have just been the hormone cuz they said if that came back negative they would do the other blood test and call me with results. And I know that feeling like ur pregnant and being pregnant are different. But when I took my test I wasnt even expecting to be pregnant or even thought about it I only took it cuz i havent been eating lately and when i did eat it was weird things and only a little of it. And I puked the night before i took the first one like out of no where and thought it was food/p but i only threw up once and my boyfriend ate the same thing and didnt get sick. I also took it because i was constipated for like 4 or 5 days and when i finally decided to take the test i finally went to the bathroom for the first time in like 4 or 5 days. so as i was waiting to look at the test results i was like ok well im not going to be pregnant then cuz i finally went to the bathroom but when i looked at it it was positive. so yeah idk
Did they only check for the hormone, or your actual levels. There's two different blood tests, and a beta hCG test will show what your actual levels are. If this is negative it is impossible for you to be pregnant as there HAS to be hCG in your body while pregnant.
The problem is, feeling pregnant means nothing in regards to actually BEING pregnant. I feel the same as I did when I was pregnant with my daughter, but I know 100% I'm currently not. Desire/fear of pregnancy can cause it, as well as half a dozen different medical conditions.

ok the first one I took that was the last one I had in the first box was positive and i took that on monday around like 3pm then i went and bought a new box the same kind and took the first one out of that box monday night around like 830pm and that one was negative. Then the 2nd one i took from that box was the next morning at like 6am and that one was positive. so i went to the the doctors that night and took a urine test and they said it was negative so i asked for a blood test and they said that i wouldnt get the results back right away so they would do a certain kind of blood test that would check the hcg levels or something and she said that came back negative also. so then i took the last home test this morning and that one was blank so thats why i dont know what to think. but i really feel like i could be pregnant?
When you take these tests? If you were taking them one after another it's understandable that you would have inaccurate tests. For best results you want to use first morning urine OR hold your bladder with limited fluid intake for at least 4+ hours. Otherwise there's not enough hCG to show on the test or your urine is too diluted. You need a beta blood test to find out what your hCG levels are. A blank test is just an invalid test, and it can happen to ANY brand you use, regardless of cost. It might be invalid because you used it wrong or because the test itself was bad.
well the first one i took was the last one i had left from the first box and that one was positive and then i took the other ones and the first one from that box was negative then the 2nd one i took from there was positive and then the 3rd was blank?
First Response would be the first one I would grab, I would swear by them. Maybe you just got a dud bunch?
I was told by my dr after having 2a false positives to never use first response again! I wrote the company furious and they are sending me a refund. I suggest u do the same!
i have heard (and it seems very reliable) that you never get a false positive, UNLESS you are on HCG for fertility/conception reasons. It could have been a chemical pregnancy (I had one a few years back) which is basically a very early miscarriage. If you don't get your period in a few days I say retest and go back to dr for another blood test. (fyi, i have heard of the blood test being wrong -- it is very rare, but it does happen)
