preparing in case of a preemie

so ladies im trying to prepare myself for the reality that i may have a preemie, i have advanced precancerous cells on my cervix and if on my apt june 4th they are worse then well my baby will be brought out at 32 weeks. im kinda freaking out since this is my 4th baby and ive never had any issues before all my children were full term. i guess im wondering what exactly will happen if babies born at 32 weeks .. will it need to be in the nicu? also will it have good survival chances i just dont know anything about preemies and im soo stressed out about it all its hard to enjoy my pregnancy. i am already 18+2 and june is just looming on me as it gets closer everyday.. any advice or comments on this you ladies have would be greatly appreciated..

I had my oldest at 30weeks 4days...and nw she turning 7. So i believe survival chances are strong. She spent 4&half months in Nicu. Nw im 22wks3days and facing the same scare! Iwill start my steroid shot soon to lower my chancesof a preemie. Hopefully it works out for the best for both of us!

GoodLuck

thankyou ladies for your responses, im trying very hard to be positive and not stress i tihnk its just because it would be soo hard for me to have a preemie i have no time as it is now and i dont drive just my hubby so i know i wouldnt be able to be there seeing my angel as much as i want. i have a 7 month old a 6 year old and 4 year old and i live 20 minutes from the city so im think im just so worried to be away from my little and not having the means to go there it would be awful to feel so seperated i am just praying so hard to get to at least 35-37 weeks so baby could come home with me :(

Im 24 weeks and I have an incompetent cervix. Im on strict bed rest and received my steroid shot at 23 weeks to help develop my baby's lungs. Our goal is to keep her in to atleast 31 weeks and then i will have a c-section. You should be fine at 32 weeks =)
Dont stress out and you will be fine!

My sister in law had my nephew at 32 weeks and he was in the nicu for about 2 weeks. His only big problem was that he couldnt breath on his own. When he went home he was put onto oxygen for about 3 months now he is healthy as can be and a very happy boy... i would ask your doctor what you can do to make sure that your baby will be as healthy as can be

My friend had her baby boy at 32 weeks and his lungs were under developed he spent a month in the nicu and it only took that long because he had to fit in his car seat. Good luck to you and your beautiful baby. As long as you stay strong so will your baby keep your head up!! :)

I also had a 25 seeker she stayed in the Nicu for 3 months. I often get paranoid of having another preemie. I have a incompetent cervix so I have to take it easy are you on bedrest?

I'm not sure about the survival chances, I think around 32 weeks they are pretty high but I'm not totally sure. But I know for sure that the baby would be in the NICE at least for a little while. My son was born at 37 weeks and 5 days and was in the NICU

I have a 25 weeker everyday a baby is in the better. With steroids a 32 weeker will probably just learn to take bottles then go home. They usually have it around 34 to 35 weeks gestation. Hopefully you keep em in til full term but if not hope for the best its no reason your baby wouldnt live.
