preterm labor/mucus plug

I will be 35 weeks tomorrow with my 2nd baby, I have been losing parts of my mucus plug occasionally throughout. I have been put on moderate bed rest for acute preterm labor. I've been have a lot of pain and discomfort in my lower abdomen, lower and mid back, pelvic pressure and pain, and groin pain. This morning I went to the bathroom and wiped 6 times just to get all the discharge, half an hour later I wiped 3 more huge globs plus some in a pad (sorry for the tmi) and was tinted a slight yellow and greenand possibly a little bit of brown. Just wondering if any second time moms have had this and when did you end up delivering?

With my first baby when I lost my plug it was the same color and they said that was normal and not to worry, plus I was in the hospital the other night for the pains and nothing was said about an infection..

I'm 35 weeks now too. I had a greenish yellow discharge for about two weeks and when I went to the doctor it turned out I had an infection.  I'd go to the doctor if I was you.

I wouldn't normally be concerned except for the fact you said there is green color in your discharge. I would give your doctor a call. You may have an infection.

I am also 35 weeks & it feels like I'm constantly checking to see if it's my mucus plug. Nothing yet. However full term is 37 weeks. We are 2 weeks away from full term. 34-36 weeks is late preterm. Our baby will survive & be healthy if born at this time however they may keep the baby in the hospital until it is full term & monitor them to ensure they are good to survive in our home & without any assistance.
