question about baking soda test!
So I tried the baking soda gender test and I'm a little confused as to how it works lol! After I peed in the baking soda it did absolutely nothing so after a few seconds I swirled the cup around and the urine itself started to fizz. How should I read that lol??
The easiest way for this test is to pee in a cup. Add a spoonful of baking soda and stir it. If it does nothing its a girl. If it foams like beer its a boy.
Sadly the results are determined by what you eat. :( not by the baby. Healthy eating will yield a girl result. Fast food, junk will yield a boy result.

Well I just might make a trip out this weekend or at least call them first lol. Two girls would be fun too! It'll even things out a bit!! I was so tired of looking at all the baby stuff and ppl were just popping them out left and right lol. My only regret is giving away my crib now the ppl I gave it too didn't take care of it at all I think they broke it within months of getting it. 15 weeks you're not far ahead of me your due dates in october?
My oldest will be 4 may 9th and other than what his father kept and threw out, I have everything. I just couldn't part but I am going to get rid of most of it after these babies either outgrow it or both end up girls. I'd go to toysRus every week til they had some lol. We actually went yesterday but I didn't see any. And I'm 15wks:)
I have tried the chinese calendars most of them said girl! Then I came across one yesterday that said my age needed to be in chinese years... so they calculated it for me and put me two years older than I am and gave me a boy... lol... I just think its not meant for me to know!! Nothing seems to work in my favor!!
You can look up the Chinese calendar gender predictor! Its like 90 % accurate and it told me I was having a girl and I am :)
I want to try it too... I went to babiesrus and they were currently out of stock! Figures just because I'm soooo curious lol... a boy and a girl would be perfect that's always what I wanted... I have nothing left from my six year old!! In the past year I gave all his baby stuff away to everyone I knew who had little boys including my crib! I think I have one pea coat size 2t lol... I did not expect to get pregnant for awhile and SURPRISE!! So it'll be fun starting all over again! How far along are you?
I read that if it immediately popped up boy or girl, then they were both that sex. If it didn't turn for 2 mins then went to girl, it was a boy and girl. But I can't find it on their official site to confirm and my bf doesn't wanna waste the money even though I think it'd be fun. I've been trying a lot of predictors too and they either girl or 53%chance of girl..I'm hoping to have a boy and girl though bc I already have everything for a boy from my 2 older sons and since I'm having my last 2 for a while I don't wanna be the only girl lol
That's a good idea I'll try that too! Twins?? Wow congrats on that!! I was wondering the other day about the intelligender test what would the results be if someone who was expecting twins took it lol... I've been trying all those old wives tales methods too and its all just a big blank lol... I guess I'm to anxious! But I will definitely try pour the baking soda in the cup!
Maybe try adding the baking soda in after you filled the cup. Since it was peed on, the stuff in the powder couldn't really mix with the urine to give an immediate result. I want to try this but I wouldn't know how to read it with twins lol
I'm 12 weeks today! Looks like I'll just have to wait a few more weeks to find out lol... nothing I read online explains what happened with the baking soda and I'm not far along enough to do those fun quizzes! They all say it could be either a boy or a girl :(... oh well it was a good try!!!
If nothing happens that's supposed to mean ur having a girl, if it fizzes then its a boy!! However I tried it and it fizzed but im having a girl
I have neeever heard of this method of gender testing.. How far along are you? There are gender tests on babycenter.com maybe that will be more useful..
