It felt like I peed my pants..wasn't cold to me..
That makes sense, since body temp is cooler than the water in a comfortable-feeling shower. Once on MedHelp we were discussing bath temperatures (because you're not supposed to let your bod get more than 102 degrees or so when pregnant) and one of the posters did a temperature test in the bathtub, and was really surprised how cool a bath felt when it was 102 degrees, it didn't feel hot or even barely warm, even though the body is only 98.6 degrees. If your friend was taking a normal-temp shower, the shower would probably have been at least 104 or 105 degrees just to feel normal, and amniotic fluid coming out that was 98.6 degrees (body temp) would def feel cooler by comparison.
Mine was warm, like urine.
She said it was cold as in colder than the water in the shower she took a warm shower and she knew her water broke because it was cooler than the water.
Let's say someone (for example) accidentally wets their pants. It obviously comes out body temp, but if their pants legs are wet and especially if they are in a cold or cool place, the liquid on the pants legs will feel cold after only a few minutes. Maybe the woman who said the water was cold wasn't referring to "when their water broke" but after a few minutes elapsed, and how it might feel on clothing if they were in a cool place.
Well honey ive heard of woman say there water was cold so yah thats why i ask
I had heard others say they thought they had peed their pants when their water broke but even knowing that I still had the same initial thought. So yes, it's body temp.
Body temp, honey. It's not like you have a refrigerator inside your uterus.
Everyone's water breaks diff but usually it should be the same as your body temp since its inside you....i ended up pushing and breaking my own water and three seconds later pushed my daughter out...but it was warm like pee lol smelled sweet and just like regular water really...nothing gross
