sad,scared,confused

I went in and saw my doctor yesterday, thinking I am about 9 weeks.  They did an Ultrasound and saw the sack but no baby or heart beat she said this would be of someone who is 4-5 weeks.  That can't be no intercourse was done durning that time.  I had blood work done to measure my HCG levels and have to go back in 48 hours to do again.  Then back to the doctors on Thurs. for a follow up.  She said it could be an abnormal pregnancy.  I feel pergnant sick and tired ( this is my third).  No cramping or bleeding.  Could I be 6-7 weeks?  What should I expect?

The same thing happened to me.  I thought I was 8 weeks but when we went in we barely saw a sac.  They said I was probably very very early.  We went back in three days and saw a more formed  sac and  what looked like the start of a yok sac.  They did the hcg and if 48 hours did it again.  See when I first found out I was pregnant I started to spot and this continued up until about 9 weeks.   My levels doubled and when we went back in a few weeks we saw the heartbeat.  You are probably very early and you'll know more when you get your second blood results back.  I'm sure everything will be fine.  Best of luck to you.

Yeah, I am hoping that I am not that far along.  It's just so hard to have to wait until next Thurs.  with Christmas here.  My four year old is soo excited that it makes me sad that I just can't quite thinking about this and focus on him.

You may have ovulated later than you thought, thus being not as far along.

Just get those blood results. If they're doubling or more, then you're probably just not as far along as you had thought.

Sorry to hear what you are going through.  I went through the same thing this past month.  I did miscarry at 10 weeks 3 days. My measuring of twins were 5 weeks 4 days and never grew anymore.  There were no heartbeats and only one had a yolk sac and fetal pole but no heartbeat.  My HCG levels began to drop after my 9th week.  Just this past Wednesday they went back to negative0.  I didn't start to cramp until 2 weeks ago and I miscarried that day.  It just came and it was devastating.  This was my first pregnancy and it hurts still but I just keep thinking positive.
I hope you are alright and I would just keep your fingers crossed since maybe you are not as far as you think.  Maybe after your HCG test and other ultrasound your baby will be there.
I am sending my thoughts and prayers out to you.
Good Luck!
