scared im pregnant?

hi, im 19 years old and have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend of 1 year.
i have been experiencing lower abdominal pain for the past week, i have also noticed a brown discharge. sometimes it contains blood. this has also been going on for about a week, and has not stopped at all. i haven't seen this as a sign of pregancy, but i'm not sure? has this happened to anyone else? i'm not due for my period for another week, and i am on the pill. hopefully someone can help!
thanks!

oh okay, yeah...i'm scared cause it wasn't like a few day thing, it's been going on for about 7 or 8 days now.
i'm not really sure how long inplantation or ovulation spotting can last for..but from what i have found its only for a few days.

but thank you!

hi there it could have been ovulation spotting i had it in my last cycle but i'd never had it before it was just discharge like you said it was a browny colour and sometimes more red it lasted about 4 days, i also got pregnant on the pill at 17 i wasnt taking it regulary , you may have got pregnant if you ovulated and are having unprotected sex , but like the other girls said you wont really know untill your periods due unless you can go to the drs for a blood test good luck to you i hope you get the outcome you want x

I agree with Tara. So many people I know got pregnant while on the pill. You can take a pregnancy test when your period is expected. GOod luck!

HI, no problem...you should be fine, and since I know now that you are on the pill, that kind of spotting can be normal.  Since the pill is made of hormones, some of them are known to stop your period, or make the very short and or light.  However, I know that alot of people do get pregnant on the pill....my mother got pregnant with my brother when she was on the pill AND my dad used a condom!  Just to play it on the safe side, just do what i had suggested before and you will be fine!

okay thank you.
they are regular, since i'm on the pill. i have heard of implantation bleeding, although its not as common as the other early affects of pregnancy, and i dont have any of those yet.
i'll wait it out and see, hopefully it will stop. it's kind of scaring me that it might be something more severe.

HI,
For the simple fact that you are having unprotected sex it is very possible that you may be pregnant.  Some women experience that discharge when the egg is implanting itself into the endometrial lining, and it's called break through bleeding.  I am not sure exactly how long it lasts, but I am sure that it differs from woman to woman.  Are your periods pretty regular?  What I would do if I were you, would be to wait until your period is due to begin, you said one week?  If you do not start your period then definately take a test.  If it comes back negative wait a couple of days, and if you still haven't started, then take another test.  By then the test should be pretty accurate and you can go from there.  Good luck to you!
