hi. my son is exactly 25 months now , his SED rate is 43 ,it is high what could this mean, he had a fever last month which lasted for 5 days with no other signs.
I SED rate that is high usually tells you that there is an infection going on somewhere in your body. I have gotten many high SED rates, and further testing has never detected anything. Although 43 is high, it isn't high enough to constitute worry, as SED rate levels when there is a ton of infection present are usually 100+. So, your son's high rate could have been anything from a sore throat, to irritable bowel at the time. I'd try not to worry too much. :-D
