sex during period.
Hi, I'm 21 and I'm new to these boards and I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. My period began the day before Christmas Eve, 5 days earlier than it was supposed to come. Normally, I wouldn't be worried about it coming early since I know sometimes they do.
However, 7 to 8 hours after my period came, I had unprotected sex with my ex. He pulled out 3-5 minutes before he came since we didn't have protection at the time. Still, I remember once we had protected sex literally, right before my period came and that period lasted about 3 to however many days like it's supposed to.
After this one, though, it was only heavy for the first few hours it came and after sex, it has been very light and I finished this month's period within 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 days. Is this normal after sex? I'm not sure how a period is supposed to continue since this is the first time I have ever had sex on my period.
I'm concerned that this might mean, even though he pulled out 3-5 minutes early, that I could be pregnant.
Can anyone help me? This would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought two tests today in case. I was finally able to go to the store. I got the ones where it shows one pink line for not preg or two pink lines for preg. I got a really strong pink line for not preg. The thing is, I told one of my friends and they think it's too early to tell. The "baby" would have been conceived on the morning of Christmas Eve.
I'm definitely not ready for a kid, but is it too early to tell? It's been almost a week now, a week tomorrow. I'm gonna save the other test for when my other period comes.
I got the early signs test saying it could detect something 5 days before the period, but the thing is, I did stuff while on my period, so hopefully it'll work that way, too.

It doesn't sound like your prego. But be careful next time. My sis got prego on her period. took her by suprise. It's rare yes.. but it does happen.
thanks, it did. i've also been asking around other places too to see what they think. one girl told me the same thing (meaning my period situation) happened to her when she found out she was pregnant later...i hope i'm different but i'm going to take a test whenever i get the chance to go to the store to buy one. i mean, it does seem kind of odd since all my other periods have pretty much been regular except for this one, but all i can do is take a test. =/
I really dont think you are pregnant.....you have to ovulate to get your period not the other way around...so it would have been already to late to get pregnant. So calm down because if you worry yourself then its going to get worse and you will miss your next one. BUT there is a chance a girl can get pregnant at the END of of period because you can be fertile if you have shorter lengths in your cycle like 23 day cycles or something.....that doesnt happen usually when a women has a 28-32 day cycle. Are you graspin me? I am trying to explain this as best as I can. Like njeosys says....the sperm could have just aggravated your cervix a bit. I have had that happen to me also. BUT if you insist you might be...then you will have to wait till you miss your period. You are young yet...so periods arent always going to be 100% on the clock. I just had some issues with mine and thats exactly what my nurse practitioner told me. And I am 25. Sooo I hope I helped a little. Good luck to you.

Some women feel pregnancy symptoms about a week after conception. You will feel crampy (like pre-menstrual). The baby begins as an embryo and then develops into a fetus at 8 weeks of pregnancy. You wouldn't be able to feel a baby until around week 16 of pregnancy as the fetus won't be big enough nor have enough strength to make any noticeable movements (though baby WILL be moving). Any sort of gassy feelings is just that, not the baby!

when's the earliest i can tell if something's up? like after a week of sex? b/c i've been having this "gut feeling" in my stomach for the past like 2 days so far maybe. perhaps i am making myself think i am pregnant? i dunno.

Pheremones... lol! Every single person gives off a "sex scent" so to speak, called pheremones. You're attracted to his scent.

The sex probably made you cramp like that. Sperm is a cervical softener, so to speak. It probably just aggrivated you.

All you can do is wait on this one. Being an ex, I can only assume you don't want to be pregnant? Wish you the best!
That has happend to me on occasion after sex on my period. Since it seems I am always on my period (I go for up to 8 weeks on occasion), we have done this on mulitple occasions. Only when I am on my period do I get that odd pain. I have been diagnosed with Endometriosis, and always contribute the pain to that. When I am bleeding, my uterus and ovaries seem much more sensitive. Sexual activity seems to intensify that wierd pinching feeling in my vagina. ( I always describe as a little man in there with a nail and a hammer, just pinging that nail every once in a while.)

If your worrying however, get a pregnancy test. First Response Pregnancy test seems to be the best test when you want to know early. Test now, and then again in three weeks or so.
The pain in your pelvic area could just be related to inflamation of cells in your vagina. If your extrememly worried or in a lot of pain, visit a gynecologist.

I hope you're right because I only had cramps where I couldn't even walk for like one day. =/ Like it felt like someone was pinching the insides of my pelvic area.
