sex during pregnancy

i know ive said on here a few times that i've been afraid to have sex and that i wanted to wait until later in my pregnancy. well ive been thinking about it, and im not as afraid anymore, and i actually want to. so anyways, is lube required? and what kind is good like more natural or does it matter? what are all of your experiences in your second trimester - is it still enjoyable? do you spot after?

does anyone else think that there should be a "could I be pregnant" forum created?

My boyfriend and I had sex very often during my first trimester.  The doctor said that it was totally ok to have some light spotting and even some slight cramping.  I experienced both of these up until the second trimester.  Now, neither of the 2 happen.  Since Ive been pregnant, Ive noticed ive been a lot more sensitive and "in the mood" and have never needed to use lube. good luck with everything =D

We have had sex all through our pregnancies. Dh thinks that I have never been so sexy as when pregnant and he is always really proud of my bump. We even had regualar bd right through the 3rd trimester. You just need to be a bit creative.

Never had any spotting or required lube. Sex is fun when you are pregnant, just dont take it to seriously because it can be a bit clumsy sometimes.

I havnt enjoyed sex at all during my entire pregnancy.. id have to say there was one time when i was in the second trimester that I really really wanted it, but that one time only.. me and hubby have prolly only done it like 15 times this whole pregnancy ( i am almost 38 weeks)  the other 14 times was just for hubby cause after awhile i felt bad lol.. but now that im full term my goal is to do it everyday or so.. to get that sperm on my cervix so hubby is def. happy now!!! lol... and I have never spotted after sex.  and never had to use lube.  I agree that since ive been pregnant its been extra wet down there when we need it to be..

And please please I wish someone would make a forum for that.. I get so irritated sometimes, like im glad to help if i can, but come on, people have to know we can not tell them if there pregnant, only a HPT or a blood test can...

I have never once spotted during my pregnancy including after sex.  I have to agree with the other ladies it is much more enjoyable and more intense.  I want it a little more than usual (didn't want it at all during my first trimester) but notice it does get a little difficult with the belly getting in the way....lol.  I have never used lube, but do what works I hear it's not harmful to use.  Also, just be warned that your uterus tightens a little when you have the big "o" or it does for me anyway.  But, it goes away quick and doesn't hurt.

I didn't have a high sex drive throughout pregnancy, but when we did it, it was enjoyable.  I required lube,  but I always do so not big deal - I like "pre" it's made by the makers of pre-seed and it feels really natural, it also washed off alot better than most other brands that I have tried.  I say if you feel like it then go for it !!

My DH and I have had sex throughout my entire pregnancies (all of them).  From start to finish.  I've never been put on pelvic or bed rest so that was never an issue.  To be honest I've found that it's the most enjoyable in the 2nd trimester. I've also found that lube has not been required even though I typically have to use it when I'm not pregnant.  The increase in vaginal secretions during pregnancy does an excellent job of lubricating things.  The increased blood volume in your body can also make it a LOT more pleasureable.

With my doctor we had sex my whole pregnancy until 34 weeks when I was put on strict bed rest for pree. We didn't need or use any lube. I thought it was great. I was more sensitive down there and I think thats what made it so great. I never spotted but I have heard some woman have.
