sharp pains in stomach

I'm only 6 weeks pregnant and I keep getting sharp pains in my stomach,  some have been so bad that it's woken me up. Should I be worried?

No, I'm not bleeding.. I think im just terrified of the worst happening

My doctor informed me that it's difficult to tell what is normal and not normal during pregnancy because everyone experiences different things. I found out I was pregnant because I was cramping. At the time I was 5weeks or so and it hurt really bad... I used a heating pad to relieve the pain. Everything should be okay as long as you're not bleeding. When I say bleeding I mean like gushing blood. Then again, I'm not a doctor and this is my first pregnancy, but if you feel like you're in so much pain that you can't stand it, go to the e.r.
