should i be worried/scared

hi i went for my growth scan today im 32 weeks 6 days so the my baby should weigh about 4 and a half pounds but he weighs 5lbs and the gestation age is 32 weeks 6 days but he should only be 31 weeks 6 days should i be worried about having him early or having a big baby. im just wondering i have 7 weeks to go how much weight should he put on in 7 weeks im soo scared to have a big baby again my son was 9lbs so very hard to push out but this time i have pelvic pain so labour will be more painful this time round
please help im scared

First of all- their weight guesses are just that; guesses. They can be off by a pound or two either way. Also, babies all grow at different rates. Some babies are born large, others small, others average.

If your doctor is concerned about you having another big baby, then maybe you can request an induction at 38-39 weeks.

can't say whether you'll have a big baby or not, as we don't know when he's gonna decide to join the world and his weight won't truly be known till he's weighed. you can always opt for a cesarian if it's really freaking you out. best of luck.
