sickle cell trait

So I just found out that along with my partner, I also have the sickle cell trait! Which means there is a 50 50 chance my baby will have the disease :`( I was wondering if anyone has had a positive turn out even though them and their partner both had the disease?? Im so worried my daughter will have it and from what I have researched she will have lots of complications and I don't want my baby to suffer

I found this story to be very encouraging... this child has never had a crisis... i dont know a lot of sickle cell anemia...especially for babies, its does sound very scary and i hope your baby doesnt have it :( i was able to observe a surgery with a young man who had the disease and the Dr they brought on for him was awesome and he taught me a lot about what all can occur... but like i said i really wasnt aware of the effects in babies... hoopefully other parents on here will have some positive stories as well <3
