signs of ovarian cysts? please respond ASAP

So after Grey was born I was having stabbing abdominal pain and it turned out that I had about 8 delivery-hormone-related cysts over both ovaries....they said there's no way to tell if it will happen again. today I woke up with HORRIBLE pain in my lower abdomen and lower back...it's like a stabbing, crushing pain and it's so bad it's bringing me to tears but I can't go to the ER until later if I DO go because DH is at work and no one can come watch the kids...

but my question is....did anyone with ovarian cysts have pain in both their stomach and back at the same time? it's awful!!!!!!!!! it's not my kidneys i'm 99% sure because I've had so many stones before I know THAT feeling well....it's a similar (not QUITE as bad but pretty bad and much lower)...and I Just need to know if anyone with cysts felt pain in their back as well.

thanks for responding guys...I just need to know what the concensus is until my DH gets home and I can go in if the pain continues...I HATE the ER, but this is BAD :(.

Call him, don't question it, CALL!!! You got me worried about you girly! Keep me updated if you go in, so I know you're getting help! Him missing part of a day of work for your health is 100% justified, and if it's that bad you're not really going to be able to take care of two kids right now. Don't let it have the opportunity to get worse, call him and get him home so you can go in ASAP!!!

I'm so sorry you're in so much pain Ivy. If I was closer I'd be there in a heartbeat to watch the kids, and drive you myself! I looked online and there was only one site that said something about ovarian cysts and back pain being a symptom. If it's that bad that you're in tears, go in when DH gets home girl. If you're there for five hours and they figure out what it is and make the pain stop, then the five hours you're there will be worth it.

Also, another concern is a twisted ovary. That can cause serious pain. But that should not diminish the real and severe pain of a cyst and a normally rupturing cyst - it can be excruciating!

Hey i had a few cyst on my overies!! One was the size of a orange after it broke...they say it was the size of a grapefruit before...they told me that the pain comes from when the break and the fluid goes out around! I had such bad bad pain it was in my lower back and lower front...to me it felt like i really needed to go to the bathroom with like direaah only thing was nothing would come out! lol..i actually sat there for an hour and didnt do anything it was just the pain!! I would go get it checked out! The pain is not bearable and you have two babies to look after! :O

I've had ovarian cysts, but they were not delivery related. Anyway, i've had a billion cysts it seems like and it never really came with back pain. That's not what I remember each time at least. Just terrible pain in the pelvic area and have a hard time walking when they burst. But when I describe the pain to fam/friends they do say kidney related things (stones, infection) when it's not related at all. I hope you get medical help soon!
