skin tag concern
please help i am 34 weeks pregnant i have a skin tag down below which i have had for years but seems to have grow and i am concerned about it well more embarrassed than anything else with my due date approaching as i also have a varicose vein down below aswell this is making me very stressed and i am making myself sick with worry please help me

I have a skin tag inside my belly button. I forget about it because I don't see it but during my pregnancy my belly button grew and became flat. It was very noticeable and it turned dark brown instead of skin color. It has now just recently returned to skin color. I never had it checked out. I wore a bikini the whole summer too. It's nothing to be embarrassed about.

Skin tags are usually nothing really serious, but to be sure, I would see a dermatologist especially since it is growing, it is better to be safe than sorry.

As for the vericose vein I developed one in the pregnancy before my last one. While it's not aesthetically pleasing, It's nothing to be embarrassed abuot and is actually more common than you'd think. Mine came back with my last pregnancy but I wasn't as surprised that time. It also should not cause you any issues with delivery and will most likely go away IMMEDIATELY after birth when the pressurs is relieved. Mine did both times and I have no issues or even hints of it when I'm not pregnant. Both of those pregnancies were vaginal and had no issues due to the vericose vein. It CAN be tender and uncomfortable but the more you rest and relieve the pressure the easier it is to control the discomfort.
Keep in mind that your doctor and nurses have seen more patients than you can count and you can ALWAYS gaurantee that no matter WHAT issue YOU have, they have seen FAR worse and nastier. Just remember, they've seen women with all kinds of diseases so it's actually probably a relief for THEM that you ONLY have a skin tag and vericose vein.
