small embryo at 8 weeks

i went for an u/s at 8 weeks and they were a bit concerned that the embryo was the size of a 7 wk embryo and the sac looks a little small, but there is a heartbeat!!.  the docs don't think the conception date is wrong by a week because we used insemination and they manipulated my ovulation.  they told me to come back in a few weeks to do another check.
any thoughts????

It is completely normal for a u/s to be a week off. During my early part of pregnancy they were a week off with the measurments and said I was due Sep 21, but I knew I should be due on Sep 13... turns out I was right because he began measuring correctly at the end of the 2nd trimester. (he's behind again now but for different reasons)

Sounds promising to me...especially since you had a hb!  Some people develop slower than others, I don't see why embryos would be different!  And, to me, a week isn't a big deal...so, congrats on your pregnancy and try to relax and enjoy!
