Marijuana is illegal in most areas of the US, and in most areas where it is legal, it requires a prescription - if you are in one of those areas, please consult your physician. We aren't able to host discussions that advocate illegal activity or using prescription drugs without the advice of a physician, so this thread will be closed.

No one was recommending it. Her question was if it was safe for her baby.

There is no point in arguing with someone as closed minded as you. Studies have proven that Cannabis does not cause brain cell death, but, in fact, encourages brain cell growth.

I think that not everyone's body is the same, me in particular I would not smoke during pregnancy,. But I would suggest that you talk to your doctor first fir a professional opinion and than go see what you have to do

Read the National Institute on Drug Abuse and LEARN something. Or the science of drug abuse and addiction. Like I said if damage brain development and KILLS brain cells. What type of woman recommend weed to a pregnant woman anyways? Don't tell her its ok because its not ok, talk to a doctor about it if you cant eat.

Im pregnant with my 3rd and I've smoked with each pregnancy JUST so I could eat.or to get that nauseous feeling to go away long enough to get things done. (Not the whole pregnancy!)

have you tried other things instead of weed? I know that they make nausea pop for pregnant women. it's like a popsicle but suppose to help with nausea. also have you asked your doctor for some medicine? they make some stuff that supposed to help with nausea not sure what they're called.

Yea your baby maybe fine now.  I would just like to see some studies about how the child was in their teen and up years.  My husband can't remember much from his childhood to directions on getting somewhere that he's been to before a lot of the time.  I used to joke with him that his mom must have smoked weed when she was pregnant with him and that's why his memory was so bad.  We would just laugh about it.  Few months ago he found out she really did.  Kinda makes you wonder if it was just bad genes for his memory or if that's why.  Things to think about I guess.  Hope you start feeling better soon though asmxx!

Seriously, youre a closed minded person. Search marijuana kills brain cells. There is nothing to support that, in fact, theyre all articles that say that it DOES NOT. like I said, do your research because OBVIOUSLY you havent done any.

Carlie,  I know that's for her to consider - that's why I brought it up.  ;D  It's worth considering.

Having a ding like a conviction of possession of marijuana on your record just makes stuff in life a little harder.   And it can happen so quickly and unexpectedly.

RockRose thats for her to consider. She knows the reprecussions if in fact she lives in a state where they drug test babies. I tend to forget as I am from Ontario and they do not do that here unless there is probable cause.

Carlie,  I tend to agree with you that marijuana is not as dangerous as most might say,  but there is the problem of it being illegal.

And that's a big deal.  Some docs test babies for marijuana at birth.

Some cops stop you and toss you in jail if they find a marijuana pipe in your car or you smell of marijuana.

It's really no small consideration to think about protecting your criminal record.

I smoked until I was 18weeks. I'm now 31weeks and my baby is fine an growing right on track! :)..   also all my friends smoked during their pregnancies an their baby's are fine as well.  I couple girls I know that smoked weed while pregnant, their kids are the smartest kids in the class.. and tobacco products are way wears then weed...

Smoking weed does NOT kill brain cells ladies, please do your research.

Too many people just dont know what theyre talking about when it comes to Cannabis. Stop reading all the ******** propaganda and  watch a damn documentary like The Union or something. Learn before you bash it, please.

Ok, rant over. Yes it is fine to smoke in order to get an appetite going. Many docs have actually recommeded it. But I would suggest vaporizing it rather than smoking it. Hope this helps.

asm,  this is a real concern.  Pregnancy nausea and related problems are to be expected - but you've been unable to eat since before you got pregnant?

And now you've lost 30 pounds total and you still can't eat?

Do you have a diagnosis for why you are unable to eat and why you vomit what little you do eat?
