okay hear me out please no judgement....I am 17 weeks pregnant and I smoked a cigarette today. just one. i used to heavily smoke and quit when I found out I was pregnant. i can honestly say it was like my mind went elsewhere and i just forgot what i was doing and smoked. i am terrified that because of my selfishness and careless i just put my baby and risk and in danger. i DO NOT plan on smoking again. is this one stupid cigarette which i should have never touched enough to have harmed my baby girl? :( so worried. please be honest

Man, a lot of people dont have it in them to quit & just keep smoking on.
Congratulations on kicking it! I know its not hard, i havent had a cig since 6 or 7 weeks & am now 35+5 weeks (: it really is a good feeling when you know you can self control for so long. I beleive your baby will be fine as long as you keep up the good work!

I'm a smoker and I tried to quit. Got down to two a day and I can't break the habit. But if you're really concerned ask your doc about it. No problem mama good luck

Some docs say two a day is fine. Not good but ok if you were a heavy smoker. I don't think one would do enough damage especially that early but then again I'm not a doctor... but I think you're fine.
