strep thoat AGAIN

Ok another question... I will be seeing dr tomorrow. I'm 8 weeks pregnant and got strep throat for the 4th time since finding out I'm pregnant. I woke up this morning with a sore throat and by tonight there was white spots all over my tonsils. I woke up an hour ago and now they are totally covered in that yucky white stuff. I've been given amoxicillin 500 every time and it works, and I take the full round till they are gone. A week or so after they are gone it comes back.. is this because of the pregnancy or am I just cursed with this 'fun' illness? And with all the antibiotics being given to me, will it hurt my baby? I hate taking meds even more so now that I'm pregnant. Please help I'm going nuts here. I can't even swallow water without tears

You CAN cure it naturally, if you catch it early enough and are cautious to make sure the symptoms/fever don't worsen or get too high...if they do then see a doctor. Gargle with raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar diluted with 1/2 water every 2 hours. Drink fluids constantly. Avoid any and all sugars and cold things. Suck on garlic cloves in between gargles. Also gargle with sea salt in water every couple of hours. Drink fluids high in vitamin c, like lemon in water with raw honey. Mix 1/2 raw honey with 1/2 powdered tumeric and place in mouth, allow it to melt slowly. The tuneric, garlic and apple cider vinegar are all natural antibiotics/ anti-inflammatories. Eat simple soups of vegetables in chicken broth with some real whole chicken with bones slowly simmered in it. A pinch of cayenne in your food is also antibacterial. Good luck! Go to a doctor if your fever worsens near/past their recommended max temp.

During pregnancy our immune system basically shuts down so as not to attack our babies.. Probably why you've been getting strep throat over & over again. Not to panic though take your meds as directed. Doctors would never prescribe you something if it was going to hurt you or baby.
