stretch marks!!

I am about 5 weeks pregnant and I want to get a head of this "problem" before I get too far. I am currently using palmers cocoa butter formula for stretch marks, is this a good product , or is there something better out there? Thanks ladies :)!

With my first one I used fruit of the earth vitamin e skin care cream. I had no marks the whole way, but I ran out with only a week left. I thought how much I could gain in a week so I thought I would save the money(although its cheap $4 for two at the dollar general) but in that one week I got all my marks in that week I believe it I didn't run out I would be mark free.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion is my preferred treatment. It helps with itching and keeps your skin looking awesome AND it smells so good lol. I wont use anything else lol And theres no animal testing involved - a bonus :)

I don't know if I buy the whole genetic thing, my mother had 6 kids she barely got a stretch mark, I got really bad stretch marks with my daughter, I lotioned but not fanatically and I didn't even get very big at all I was always measuring small.. I think it has to do with your skin type..  some people Just have more elasticity in their skin done dont.. I'm also fair skinned.. But it stands to reason lotion and drinking lots of water can only help..

You are predisposed to getting them if your mom had them but you can always help but drinking lots of water, added moisture, staying active, Ams not scratching. My sis in law didn't have a single smark until she started scratching during labor.

It is genetic, but it also depends how fast you put on weight. My mom got stretchmarks, and i didn't get any until around 33 Weeks. And it was only ONE stretchmark lol. BUT i went into labor at 36 Weeks and when i got home from the hospital, i had more stretchmarks! so apparently you can get them after you push baby out too lol.

The lotions don't work. It's genetic if your mom got them more than likely so will you.
