swelling

For the already mommy's, how long does it take for the swelling in your feet and legs to go away? Mine swell up so bad they get kinda numb. Putting them up doesn't cut it anymore. Lol.

Oh yeah flip flops are definitely packed. My bare feet are not touching the floor lol. This is why I didn't want to be induced. I was planning on refusing the freaking IV now I HAVE TO have one. If I ever have another baby unless I have too many complications with this one or something, I'm doing a homebirth

For me I swell up even more after I give birth..with my son it lasted about 4 days after I had him..this time it just went down yesterday so 9 days but I think it's bc I had a c section this time and they pumped me full of a lot of fluids! I'm actually looking at my feet and ankles right and they look so weird not swollen lol

Make sure you pack some flip flips too. Hospital showers are nasty.

Yeah they give you the pads that are about 27 inches long and 6 inches thick lol. I might exaggerate but they are huge, the hospital I go to gives you these mesh underwear though, and they're fabulous, so breezy.
The hospital tends to pump you full of IV fluids so the swelling probably won't go down for a few days, with my first it took almost a week and then I finally deflated.
I can't wait for your post :)

It was crazy but I had a hard time bending after! She did it so fast to then just left the stuff in there for me to do myself after. Oh they have this spray that's amazing for you down under its in a can.. omg what's the name!! Ugh ill get back in the name but it helps so much with the burning from pushing. Deff lifesaver I think they sell it in stores. Omg ill look it up in case yours doesn't give it to you.

I was gonna get a t-shirt night gown but my boyfriend talked me.out of it. They attached it to your underwear for you? That'd weird me out. I was in the bed and I had the hospital gown on and the nurse came and undid the back for pretty much no reason and I was like wtf now my *** is hanging out -.-

My hospital gave me some ones that are about the size of the bottom half of a adult sized diaper lol. But they give you stuff to help with the pain/ tears/ hemorids on the pad. I was shocked when the nurse attached the pad to my undies and added all this stuff to it lol. Also maybe add like a comfy dress or something because If it ends in section the last thing you'll want is pants rubbing it. Just in case. It was the last thing I planned for.maybe some snacks to for SO and you. My husband was dying lol

Lol I wasn't planning on being in there so long. I hate hospitals. Was there three days only brought a going home outfit so I wore a hospital gown the whole time and flipflops. Didn't bring soaps or hair wash so.I had to use thiers which was like hand soap lol I let my hubby run home once when I was sleeping and I woke after 15 mins crying cuz I thought he had been gone fore hours and had just left me there. So I made him come back lol baddd experience basically

I don't understand why everyone was telling me it's cold in the hospital. Just in triage last week I was burning up! The nurse kept putting a blanket over me and I would just throw it off. The thermostat said 72 and i was dying. I'm so bring my mini fan with m

mine were pg swollen before i had my son, tghen cause I had the section, they totally blew up, they were like watermelons and I could hardly walk.   Thats from the heat in the hospital, water retention and lying / sitting in bed in hospital for 3 days, they went down after about 2 weeks x

I'm 41 weeks and I'm gonna try and ask to be induced tmrw. It's just my feet and legs. My blood pressure is totally normal. No headaches or anything like that either. Just some HORRIBLE swelling.

Is it just your feet and hands? Watch for pre eclampsia.. I got stretch marks on.my ankles for swelling after I had a c section. It hurt to walk. My legs were literally triple the size they normally are so I'm not sure if it was from the meds from the surgery or what. I did swell too much before that though. I think* its just part of the water weight that will come off shortly after a normal birth though.
