I have that problem sometimes after sex. My 1st pregnancy I had that after sex and I was so scared. I went to hospital and they put Vaseline and ice and the swelling went down right away. I'm pregnant again (2nd) and even when I don't have sex it's happen so now all I do is put Vaseline on my inner thighs and affected area so it doesn't rub and ice it. I do it without underwear to let it air out lol ( I know it sounds gross but after showering and washing I do the Vaseline and ice). It always works

If you're worried about it just visit with your doctor. If it is caused by excess blood flow then there isn't anything you can do but live with it. Try a cool washcloth if it is really sore.

Vaginal swelling can be caused simply from increased blood flow or from something as serious as a bacterial infection (like a yeast infection). Both can make your vagina sore.
Try:
-Drinking lots of water
-Taking a warm bath
-Wash the affected area with a salt solution (around the area - don't let the solution into the vagina)
-Eat immune boosting foods to stave off the worsening of swelling/pain and infection

There is a lot of bloodflow to that area during pregnancy. In the beginning it felt swollen like when you're really turned on and all your blood heads that direction. It went away for me by the 2nd trimester, or maybe I got used to it lol. Either way the excess blood flow causes swelling and tenderness.
