They won't laigh. But here's something my therapist gave me. "WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF PRETERM LABOR? Contractions or tightenings are often felt through pregnancy. These are called Braxton Hicks contractions and usually happen when you change your position (lying down, going up and down stairs) or after sex. In preterm labor there is often a pattern to the contractions, with as many as 5 in one hour, lasting from 20 seconds to 2 minutes. They may or may not be painful.

Other warning signs are:
-menstrual like cramps thay come and go around the pelvic area, the place where the baby's head is resting
-dull lower backache or feeling of pressure
-pelvic pressure or a feeling that the baby is going to fall out
-blood,water, or other vaginal discharge

If you are having any of these problems, call your doctor/midwife right away."

Then another paper labeled WHAT TO DO IF YOU THINK YOU ARE HAVING PRETERM LABOR.
"If any one of the warning signs continues for more than one hour, even if you do not feel any contractions, call your doctor/midwife.

If contractions come and go, here's what you should do:
1. Call someone to help you.
2. Lie down on your left side for one hour with a pillow at your back for support. Do not lie on your back because it can cut down on the blood that reaches baby.
3. Drink 2-3 glasses of juice or water
4. Keep timing how often the contractions happen. Note the time between the start of one contraction and the start of the next one.
5. If there are five or more contractions in one hour, or if the warning signs do not go away in one hour, call your doctor/midwife. Waiting too long to call for help could result in the baby being born too early.
6. Call your doctor/midwife. Be ready to tell her:
   -when baby is due
-how often you are having contractions
   -when they began
7. If your symptoms continue and you cannot get in touch with your doctor/midwife, go to the nearest emergency room.

If the contractions or other warning signs stop, you should still check for contractions twice a day for 30 minutes. Remember to tell your doctor/midwife about them at your next visit."

I know not all of this pertains to you, but I sure hope it helps bc my thumbs hurt now lol

Braxton hicks are not supposed to hurt. Just the stomach tightening but I would definately go to er or call dr office and see what they say.

Tightening and back pain would be braxton hicks

I agree. A lot of symptoms kind of mesh together so it's hard to tell and your safest bet would be the E.R to rule out preterm labor

it maybe something simple as a pinched nerve, but as your only 24 weeks, I would go to the hospital and get checked out as it maybe pre-term labour, much better to be safe than sorry, if it ends up by being nothing all good, if not, hopefully they can do something to stp it
