clomid can be taken when you do ovulate, as I ovulate (maybe not every month) but I have a short luteal phase which may mean the eggs do not mature enough and therefore clomid can help with this.  You normally take it for 5 days (days 2-6, 3-7, 4-8, 5-9) depends when your doctor tells you to take it, you should then ovulate approx 5-9 days later but this could be later too... the only real way to know if you ovulated is to accurately take your BBT or have a blood test 7 days before your next period is due which on a 28 day cycle this will be CD21.

I am confused as to the clomid shot as i just thought they were in tablet form also, you would take clomid early in your cycle, wait for ovulation then there's a 2 week wait to see if you get your BFP.. so I dont see how you can take clomid then expect a BFP the same or next day.  Maybe I read it wrong.

Good luck to you :)

Hi, Keep trying I understand it is tiring and frustrating. Hope you are successful next time. Try to keep positive. Try to keep yourself busy with other things in your life as it always happens when we are not thinking too much about it. I tried to get myself as healthy as possible and concentrated on that rather thinking about it all the time. Hopefully it all works out for you. Take care and look after yourself.

Is Clomid in shot-form new? It is typically a course of pills you take over 5 days. Also you wouldn't get a positive the same day you ovulate. It sounds like you may need to figure out when you're ovulating and should only be taking Clomid if you're not ovulating at all.

You should ovulate about 14 weeks before your period.
