to know the sex or not, that is the question...

I have my first ultrasound on Feb 4th, I will be 19+2 so I'm guessing I'll be able to find out the sex, buuut I dont know if I want to or not...I'm a ftm & I kinda want it to be a surprise but on the other hand I also want to be prepared for what to buy & just to be able to tell people "its a ____!" I'm soo torn, I don't know what to do! What would y'all do in my situation ?

I'm 29w4d with my second and we are NOT finding out the sex until baby is born. I think its so fun not knowing. :) We have a boy name and a girl name picked out already and even though we don't know if baby is a boy or girl I'm still very bonded to baby, I read an talk to him/her everyday. :) Its also fun because whenever someone asks me if baby is a boy or girl I answer "yes" and they get so confused. lol. If we end up having anymore babies we're going to wait to find out the sex with them too. :) I can't wait for my doc to hold my little one up for the first time and say "It's a ____!"

I'm a ftm and its driving me insane to no. I'm 15weeks and I find out on the Jan 31. I think its kool that you can wait for the surprise. I think you will know if you want to know or not when you go in for that u/s. Either way its fine as long as you have a healthy baby that's all that really matters.

I m ftm... I knw wht u r going thru... My dh never wanted to find out coz he didnt want any one knw wht we r hving... If i tell one member of my family it will be all over the place... But i wanted to knw i promised him i wont tell nyone... Bt he was convinced... Whn we went for u/s he told me to ask... So finally we found out... Now my dh calls bub with his name... N bub n him are bonding very well together... I bought mostly clothes unisex anyway... The only i wanted to find out was to prepare myself for baby according to gender.. I can easily raise baby girls but never been so close to male babies... So after finding out what i m hving n its a boy so i m preparing myself how to handle a boy... :-)

ive had four and found out with each... i like to bond and name bub before birth... i still get just as suprised when i see bub the first time as you cant predict what your baby will look like. whatever you choose being a mum is the best thing ever.  all the best!. :)   ps, im trying for bub 5 and will most definetly find out the sex if i do conceive again...

I am a ftm, currently 19 +1, Due June 9th, and My husband and I are not finding out. We like the idea of it kinda of being a present for us. Like the dr says "Its a ...." right after birth and both my hubby and I are in shock and so in love. Plus when it comes to buying things. Its better if you plan on having more kids, because then everything you buy the first time is mutual color and can be used for your second child! No matter what the gender is, plus once the baby is born, majority of people buy you outfits and it will be for the gender. Good luck hun.

I know, and that was totally my plan, but now I'm getting anxious and feel like I'll go crazy if I don't know, but I want the surprise too..

I'vhad 10 and I never find ou the sx, I love the surprise of "what is it ?"at the end after all the hard work :) there are plenty of things that are neutral in colour that you can get and once bub is born you can get a couple of things  specifically if its a boy or girl :)
