trying to become pregnant

My first day of my last period was on May 22, 2009. I has intercourse with my husband on June 2, 4, 9, 12, & 19 my period was due on June 20. Since I was 4 days late I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. Then the following day I had some bleeding on the 24th I thought it was my period, but i guess it wasn't. The reason I am saying that it was not my period was because the bleeding was light to medium and it was reddish brownish in color, and it only lasted one day. The next day came and the bleeding had stopped, this is not normal for me. I have been having a little bit of tinging pain on the left side of my pelvis, & my stomach has been bloated like when you are on your period. I have been feeling really tired and my lower back is hurting. Can someone tell me if I could be pregnant? I am going to take another pregnancy test today or tomorrow, I really hope that I am pregnant.

No, its not too early to go to the doctor.

I just reread your post and you had unusual bleeding on the 24th - a home pregnancy test can be taken about a week after that (as opposed to a week from today - sorry, I misread your first post).

If you are in fact pregnant, what you describe could be implantation bleeding.  If this is the case you should retest in about a week from now.

Its also possible you are just having an unusual cycle - it happens and there is a first for everything.  Only time will tell.

Good luck to you.
