To all those mummies living I'm the UK- I'm currently 34+5 wks pregnant... I was just wondering when you guys started being checked for dilation? My next appointment it's at 36wks for the labour talk, in my home.

Ok that's great thanks ladies! I've been experiencing what I can only describe as feeling like someone running a needle inside my vjay. I'm assuming it's normal, but want sure whether to tell midwife or not!

Hiya xxxx im a uk mommy too I have 2 girls 7 and 9 and I have a 6 week old lil boy xxxx in answer to your question as a rule midwives dont check for dilation unless you have contractions etc although my consultant did because both my girls where early and I was having my 3rd csection xxxx how are you feeling xxxx

I didnt get checked untl 39weeks and that was only because I was being induced and I needed to be slightly dilated. Checking can often be pointless as you can be a few.cms for a good few weeks before labour so it doesn't give an.indication of how soon you will go.into labour. They do check if you've been having contractions or at risk of preterm labour etc. Everywhere is different though they might easily check you. Hope this helps.
