When did you get your first ultrasound scan?

I heard the heartbeat at 6 weeks. I know you can't always hear it that early, but it's a definite possibility.

You said you could hear the heartbeat at eight weeks? I'm having my first ultrasound tomorrow at nine weeks and was kind of saddened thinking you couldnt hear it this early. Yay!

@Criseldangeorge- Im classified as high risk due to my kidneys and gall bladder. With taken the prenatal vitamins the calcium cause kidney stones which if to large to pass will shut my kidneys down! I also have gall stones and pregnancy speed up the growth of gall stones if I get one to large and it gets stuck between the gall bladder and pancreas I will have to go into surgery to remove the gall bladder! Was put on a low fat and water only diet. Smooth sailing so far....we are now 21wks and 4days!

My early ones were vaginal ones. I have a 6-week ultrasound in my pictures, if you want to take a look. She mostly looks like a dot lol...it's amazing how fast they grow.

I had my first one at 8 weeks in the ER. It was an abdominal one, and I could see the baby....I've never had a vaginal one.

I took a test it came back pregnant I had the ultrasound the next day was 6wks.. But went back at 8 wks to have the pap smar etc

I had to wait until I was 12 weeks to have an external ultrasound.

I had mine at 8wks in the ER due to cramping and not being able to keep anything down....that's when I found out I'm high risk!

So does that mean you can't have an ultrasound through your stomach (sorry I dont know the correct term for it) that early?

8 weeks for me. It was a vaginal ultrasound, since baby is behind the pubic bone that early. And I could hear her heartbeat and see her really good looking like a little shrimp lol

12 weeks for me. Second at 17 weeks, and I'm having a 3rd at 22 weeks.

I was 5 weeks, though I thought I was 6 weeks. They had to redo it at 6 weeks to see if it was a viable pregnancy.
