unsightly varicose veins

I'm 16 weeks pregnant, first pregnancy and have noticed varicose veins on the backs of my knees/legs, are they permenant? They arenot painful just ugly

Varicose veins during pregnancy aren't permanent, but some may linger after pregnancy.  The best way to keep them from becoming permanent is to exercise, such as walking and stretching.  The key is not to become stagnant, sit or lay around, causing a lack of circulation.  The best to you and your pregnancy!

I got them too with my first pregnancy my son is 4 months old, I have lost all my baby weight with the exception of a few pounds and the ugly little things are still there =(  Although, I am very fair skinned they could be less visable if I were tan right now.
