upper abdomenal(abdominal) pain during pregnancy

This is my second pregnancy, I'm 12 almost 13 weeks pregnant, i havent had a prenatal appointment yet. My concern is I'm having upper abdomenal (abdominal) pain on my right side sometimes in my ribcage too. i have recently had a Big lift in my sex drive for the past couple of days. So my question is could the pain be cause by having sex more often than i'm used too (in the past its been just once every week or once or twice every two weeks). Or Could the pain be something more serious?

I dont remember having this pain with my first, but that was well over three years ago.

you never know it could be caused by ther sex, however you do need to be careful with upper abdominal pain especially on the right side can be a sign of pre-eclapmsia, so you should definitely talk with your Dr about it! I had some really bad upper abdominal pain with my last pregnancy too, but it ended up being a herniated esophogus (not as bad as pre-eclapmsia, but not fun) good luck and i hope it just turns out to be a pulled muscle from the sex!
