If, as the ladies suggest, it it cholestasis, no amount of home remedies will work.  Please see your doctor right away.  Not the ER or Urgent Care, but your normal ob-gyn.  Explain that you need an emergency appointment because your hands and feet are itching so terrifically much, they should be alert enough to recognize that.  If they are not, mention cholestasis by name, maybe that will wake them up.

The itchiness all over is normal but the itching on the palms of your hands and soles of your feet are not a good sign! It might be nothing but Id defo get checked out just to be safe, even if you are fine they might be able to give you some cream or something or advise you on the best way to treat the itchiness

Could be Cholestasis. My friend had it and they induced her at 37 weeks.

Cholestasis of pregnancy, also known as obstetric cholestasis or intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, usually occurs during the last trimester of pregnancy, and triggers severe itching, especially on the hands and feet. On rare occasions symptoms may appear before the third trimester. The condition is rarely of concern for the mother's long-term health, but may cause severe complications for the fetus baby.

Cholestasis is when the excretion of bile (from the liver) is interrupted. Bile is a fluid that helps the body process fat.
There are two main types of cholestasis:Short and long term cholestasis (acute and chronic)

The one that comes on suddenly is known asacute cholestasisLong-term interruption in the excretion of bile is called chronic cholestasis
Cholestasis outside and inside the liver

Extrahepatic cholestasis occurs outside the liver.Intrahepatic cholestasis occurs inside the liver. The term "cholestasis" comes from the Greek word cholemeaning "bile" and the Greek word stasis meaning still.

Sadly I think if you go to urgent care they'll ask you about any allergies and if you've tried a shower and any creams before traiging you as low priority. I would give the above suggestion a try before going in. Good luck and I hope it stops soon!

A good home remedy for itching is that old-fashioned original style Listerine, the stinky kind.  You put it on a cotton ball and rub the itchy spots.  It's got great natural stuff in it like eucalyptus, and alcohol to keep you from getting bacteria in where you scratch.

Regarding itchiness in pregnancy, it is pretty common.  A friend was on meds for morning sickness, and turned out, they made her itch.  But I know it happens naturally too.

While you're picking up the Listerine, also get some Neosporin or Polysporin, to put on the open scratches.

Finally, if the Listerine doesn't work (it worked for me when I had shingles.  so itchy!!!) only if it doesn't work, then go to the urgent care..  But I'd give the home remedy a try first.  You can rub really hard with the cotton ball, and all the natural aromatics in the Listerine feel really great and truly soothe the itches.
