vicks baby rub

I was curious if any mommies on here uses vicks baby rub for their little ones when they are all stuffed up? Do you only put it on before putting them to bed? Or more often then that?

Sounds crazy, but it works best if you put a lot on their feet and cover them with socks. Somehow it gets in their system quicker. Also a humidifier with the vicks vapor liquid is good and baby saline spray.

It is safe to use at anytime. I use it when my kiddos are coughing. When they are little you can't give them cough suppresents so you can use the vicks to help calm the cough so they can sleep. I rub in there chest for congestion.

I have read that you should put it on the bottom of their feet. Don't know why but have heard lots of mommies say it works well that way.
