It's very important to take the vitamins. Try switching to a different kind or ask ur dr. For zofran to help with nausea. The baby needs the folic acid maybe try to take the gummy ones and then get some folic acid to since all the gummys I have seen do not have it. That's what I had to do with my first baby because I got really sick to.

I would not reccomend skipping out and not taking a vitamin while pregnant. Your baby is pulling what it needs from your body and if you arent meeting that with your diet (which its very hard to do so) then your baby is taking it from elsewhere. My mom had poor prenatal care during a couple pregnancies and she has lost teeth, her hair, and her vision suffered as well. Its for the best to make sure you and your baby are healthy talk to your doctor about nausea because you need all the nutrients you can get.

I'm sure it can't be that big of a deal since there are some women and young girls that get pregnant and get no prenatal care and have perfect babies. I'm in the same boat you are. When I asked my Dr about this she said if the prenatals make me sick to try a good multi vitamin like Flintstones gummies for example and to at least try to eat right. Don't worry too much. You're probably going to get a ton of answers for this from all over the board. Everyone is going to tell you something different.

You may could try a different kind of vitamin with all the same nutrients. My sister had to go from the gummies to the ones you just swallow because the gummies started making her sick.

You can always use flintstone chewable vitamins if you can't take your prenatal, but you should try to take something.

You doctor can give you anti nasea pills and or switch your vitamin. It is all about finding the right one. You baby will take all of its nutrients from you so it will not do much to the baby but it will make it worse for you.
