vomitting and diarrhea

I recently found out I am 4 weeks pregnant and starting this morning at 5am I woke up throwing up and at the same time having diarrhea. After not being able to stomach toast or water and having it still go on for a couple hours I called my doc.by this point I was throwing up stomach acid so hard that I had to be on the toilet with a bucket because it all came at once.the doc had me come in and gave me 2 IVs for fluids but never gave me any info on if this is normal during pregnancy or if I have a bug on top of it.any insights to help me out?

Its not normal, from the sounds of it you were severly dehydrated thats why he gave you the IV, make sure you drink lots of fluids or it can happen again, it happened to me but I wasn't dehydrated enough for two I only needed on bag, you should be drinking either 8 cups of water a day or 4 bottles

Its normal I was just like tht at tht point its really nthn tht cn be dne bt try to stay hydrated
