Is it bad to smoke weed I'm 8 weeks I just found out I'm pregnant. Is my baby gonna be okay when its born? I been reading on line that it won't affect my baby is that true. Is it ok to still smoke ones in a wail???

My sister smoked weed throughout her whole pregnancy and her kids are fine. Nothing wrong with them at all. I also smoked weed during my pregnancy due to the fact it was super hard to quit. However I slowed down lot. I ended up completely stopping at around 25 weeks. And my baby is still doing just fine.

I used to smoke cigarettes before I was pregnant, and ultimately I thought of it this way: I choose to smoke, my baby doesn't. They don't have a choice, and I would rather not make it for them. You never know if your baby will be addicted to it or not, and I wouldn't want anyone to experience their baby's having withdrawals because of the drug use. I've heard that babies who do have drug addictions end up having hard times functioning normally at first because of their withdrawal symptoms.

Its not fair or good to give your baby that stuff that's just very selfish knowing theirs a baby in you weed isn't ok to smoke that's just how I see it please stop or deal with the consequences but its up to you I would never feed my baby anything bad like that I've lost 3 babys I would want whats best for her

I say no it's not ok. Why risk it? But when you give birth and there's drugs in your system or your baby's system they will try to take your baby away.

Lol to the lady offended by the word fag in england/Nottingham we also use that word. don't worry bout it... And as for this post I quit n I feel sooo much better for it my mind is free weed. U don't need weed it slows u down.. each to their own but I really benefited from stopping smoking fags and weed I'd hate to still be addicted to that now once ur off it ul probs never wana go bk.. Ya know, this is something you should talk to your doctor about. we ask how much caffeine we can have, if we can take advil, what cold medicine to take, what we should eat, etc . . .   but then don't ask about smoking pot.  Your own doctor is your best source of information.

Otherwise, you will only find conflicting information depending on someone's own feelings.

So, talk to your doctor to get your information about this.  good luck

Think of it this way..... What you intake, your baby intakes through the umbilical cord. Best to stop. You want that baby as healthy as can be! & too, stopping will take your worries away!

Its not bad. Has been many studies while smoking while pregnant and so far all the babies they studied comes out fine they just dont want ladys risking it cause they still dont know if its still okay to smoke perfectly fine weed while pregnant. And is fags? Thats offensive! Im sorry but i have gay cousins and friends and fag is used very negative towards gay peoole.

Smoking weed does do damage to the baby no one understands never smoke weed or fags while pregnant you dont know what damage it does but it surely isnt fair i stopped smoking fags as soon as i found out i was pregnant i stopped but please do the best for your baby congrats on your baby and I hope things go well

Ive been smoking weed since high school even have my marijuana medical card. I smoked everyday til the day i found out i was pregnant which was at 10 weeks. And soon after ate half a brownie at 12 weeks but nothing since then and my baby is perfectly healthy and active :) But i stopped because i rather be safe then sorry. I'm now 29 weeks

I've heard that if they find out you're abusing drugs while you're pregnant they will be mandated to tell someone if you don't take steps to quit. I suggest you try quitting early now that you're still in your first trimester.

As long as you stop now bubs should be okay its people who continue as if they aren't even pregnant are the ones risking I potential damage to baby

Id say be safe then sorry and stop from now on :) it is tough but sooo worth making sure ur buba is as healthy as can be.

There aren't enough studies to know the effects of cannabis on an unborn child.. I quit as soon as I found out I was pregnant I'd rather not risk it also it's illegal and I don't want CPS on my a$$ over something that could be avoided
