My grandmother smoked cigs all throughout her pregnancies because it was a different time back then and they didnt know how it would effect the baby. All her children were normal and healthy.  My doc says any inhalation of smoke is not good for baby but the actual ingredients in weed are not harmful to the baby. You wont fail a drug test because of second hand thats crazy. Im in palm harbor fl btw! :)

my bf and I were very heavy smokers.. i didnt find out i was pregnant until i was 3 months with my first which was 2 years ago.. i stopped immediately and everyone in our home who used to smoke just started going outside and i would sray inside.. my daughter is perfectly healthy and her dad is too we never had problems.. not even with cps.. my drug tests all came back negative..smoking weed isn't an addiction even though people see it like it is.. he can either stop or go outside for my 2nd pregnancy (i am due in 10 days) my bf stopped because he starred working a lot more but im sure he will do ot once in awhile once baby born and he gets days off..

my oldest brother somked weed when his wife was pregnant. she use to smoke a lot before her daughter was born but she says she didn't smoke at all when she was pregnant but they gave her a drug test when the baby was born and apparently found it in her system so social services was alllllll over them. it put a strain on there relationship, and as had to come and visit a lot her first year.  me neice is 5 now and my brothers wife's parents have custody just BC my brother and her couldn't get away from the life style they were living. he finally straightened up about a year ago. its sad but my brother gets to see her every week and his wife/ex wife doesn't get to see her at all. I wish you the best and I hope it works out

My aunt and uncle were heavy cigarette smokers and they smoked in the house. Smoke is smoke regardless of where it comes from, and even though their second daughter had asthma they still smoked in the house. Its not say for babies lungs when they
Get here, its not good for your lungs because its still smoke. Hope he does stop for your sake and babies.

Why is your boyfriend getting high all the time? Just curious.  THC is now one of the leading things they find in vehicle accidents right up there with alcohol.  A buzz is a buzz is a buzz.  And he's staying buzzed a LOT based on what you've written.  That would really worry me.

Maybe talk to him about WHY he uses it so much.  good luck

Yea not legal in Florida yet. You and baby should be fine for now but you need to figure something out before baby gets there and not because he is smoking in house, weed it self just being in the house is enough for them to come grab up your kid. I lived in Jacksonville we just moved and just about every one smoked but if you had it in your home they would cause you problems. Its stupid but it's how they work.

I think this is something that you'll have to handle by what you think it right. Because, obviously weed is a touchy subject on here. And you'll have those few people up there on that high horse.

No it would not show up in your system. While pregnant it should not be a problem for pregnancy. Just not good to have stuff like that around baby for legal reasons. If social services was ever to find out it is possible for them to taKe baby away, not sure where you are and how it works where it has been legalized. Its not good to have drugs in house with baby because I am sure you would be devastated if social services started giving you trouble. I am not judging you or your partner, we did smoke before I got pregnant the first time now I don't allow it in my house.

He really doesn't agree with me on that , i told him he needs to stop smoking when she's born and he said he going to jus smoke in the living room but he still doesn't get that the smoke travels all around the house even if the room door is closed and we only have a one bedroom so its lik im trapped in the room 24 7 . trust me when she gets here he will stop cause I'm not having that

I hope he stops before baby is here because that baby shouldn't be inhaling that. I mean technically u shouldnt be either being pregnant but their lungs are still growing. He/she wont be able to handle it

I dont think its a problem for you to be around it, as long as you're not inhaling it but once your little one is born, any smoke contamination can put your baby at a high risk for SIDS and you could have your baby taken away if anyone is suspicious of "drugs" being in your home. Also, dont let people bully you or make you feel bad, some women on here can get ridiculous.

It should not be a problem but once baby comes it's best not to have any drugs in your home at all.

Any type of smoke isnt okay to be around. It affects the development of the babies respiratory system.... Why are you concerned about being around it now? Your having your baby in six weeks.. Are you concerned about drug test at birth?

He should definitely smoke outside only. Inhaling any type of smoke isn't safe during pregnancy including second hand smoke
