what do ovulation pains feel like?

Can you ladies that do get ovulation pain put it down to a specific type of pain?
And how long do you feel the ovulation pain for? A few minutes/few hours and can you feel it over several days too?
I ask because this is the 4th day now I have had slight pain lower down than my tummy button and on my right hand side. I only have it for a few minutes and it's each morning before 12pm. Like a prodding pain or very slight stitch.
I have never experienced what I think feel like ovulation pains before so have no idea if this is it.
I had a mirena coil out in Jan and don't think i ovulated the last couple of months despite having regular periods. Am hoping ovulation will kick back in this month, my mucus has changed too and is heading in the direction that ovulation may be soon.

Any comments much appreciated :D

BD! Sperm can live up to 5 days (if not longer) so by the time you ovulate, the spermies should be well up there! It doesnt have to be every day but it could work this month! You have fertile cm right now.

I also got tender breasts/nipples when ovulating.

Wow, thanks ladies, your comments have definitely helped.
I have cm that is looking very stretchy, not clear though is a milky colour right now but A LOT of it. Never seem to get the egg white stage that some women on here talk about, but I know that not everyone does.... is this the best time for me as it is very stretchy and runny?
Dh and I aren't normally bd ing yet as I've used the online ovulation calculator in the past where my af's are 30/31 days it says I wouldn't be due to ovulate until the 2nd-8th April, which is the same time frame as last month but my cm was almost non existent by that point and the ovulation tests I used never gave me a positive result. My boobs feel a little tender and I've had an outbreak of spots like af is due...even though I'm 2+ weeks off that yet!

When I ovulate I can feel it, and it feels like, a sharp pinching sensation. Mine lasts for MAYBE 30 sec. and then it's gone.

I also want to add that pain coming from that area even after you ovulate can indicate an ovarian cyst. I had them as well and they can cause lingering pain. I'm 16w4d pregnant and it feels like I am ovulating all over again but I am sure it's due to a cyst lol :)

It feels like an sore/achy/stretching feeling on either left or right side, around your ovary. Some women do have cramping with it, however, I only had the ovary pain. It can last up to a few minutes, few hours, or even a day. Mine always lasted several hours at a time. Also, if you have sex and the pain is apparent on one side and it's bothersome, your most likely ovulating. (At least, that's how it was for me). Not every woman will feel when she ovulates. Most get a slippery/wet/clear/stretchy cm to indicate ovulation. Hope this helps.

HI THERE. WELL WHAT YOUR DESCRIBING THE PINCHING SENSATION BELOW YOUR BELLY BUTTON SOUNDS LIKE EARLY PREGNANCY SIGNS WHEN THE BABY ATTATCHES ITS SELF TO YOU. UMM.. NORMALY OVULATION FEELS LIKE PERIOD CRAMPS BUT NOT AS BAD OR SOME TIMES ITS SHARP PAINS IN YOUR UTERUS AND IT CAN LAST A SPLIT SECOND OR LAST A WHILE. KEEP ME POSTED
