what pain medication can i use while pregnant?

I've posted earlier about my gallbladder and how they want to remove it but unfortunately we are not able to find a surgeon willing to do it while I'm passed 12 weeks. I've been taking tylenol for the pain but it has stopped being effective. I asked my doctor what else I could take and she says go to the ER. I don't have the time or sitter for that. Does anyone know if I can just alternate tylenol and motrin?

Gall bladder pains are the worst! I had my gall bladder out last January. Idk what you can take, everything needs to be prescribed besides Tylenol. I know my dr offered me vicoden when I sprained my back during pregnancy but idk what else they can give you

none that are safe during pregnancy unfortunately. I'd say strap your 11-month-old into a stroller and go to the ER - there's no reason for you to suffer like this. Acute gallstone attacks are second only in pain to kidney stones, which I've passed MANY while pregnant, and they always gave me adequate pain relief.

At this point I'm pretty desperate for relief and I have a very active 11 month old. Any natural herbs or anything of that nature worth trying?

I'm not sure why she keeps trying to send me to the ER when I ask she says for pain management. I specifically ask what OTC meds I can take and she keeps repeating tylenol. So frustrating! I have a huge thing of Motts apple juice my hubby just got so I'll try that :)

And Motrin is also not safe--it is ibuprofen which you are not to take while pregnant.

There are a variety of different things you can use, but most (if not all) have to be given by prescription. Why is she saying to go to the ER? Her job as a doctor is to take care of you during your pregnancy.
