what's the fastest and best way to lose postnatal weight for a breastfeeding, busy mom like me?

1 month after I gave birth to my first son Cael Dean, I decided to go home to our province and help run my dad's store. The last tym my friends and family saw me, I weighed 128 lbs. Now, I'm 170. It's so embarassing 'coz everyone I know makes me feel like I'm extremely obese. It's starting to take a toll on my self confidence. I'm too busy to go to a gym, breastfeeding makes me hungry almost all the time, and I can't afford surgery. Does anyone have a suggestion which wieghtloss pill is safe for a breastfeeding mom like me?

There is no such thing as a "weight loss pill"!

Watching your calorie intake and exercise are the key to weight loss.  The formula is simple - you need to burn more calories than you take in to lose weight.  Google basal metabolic weight calculator to get an idea of how many calories you need on a daily basis and try to eat less than that.  Exercise will help boost metabolism and even if you dont have time to go to the gym, taking baby for a 20 min walk a day will help.

weight loss pills are NOT healthy, ESPECIALLY when you are BFing.  I took hydroxycut after my oldest son....but honestly i don't think it helped and it's recently been recalled because of high rates of liver damage.  What helped ME lose weight THEN was walking an hour a day and watching what I ate.  I ended up gaining it back due to stress eating and getting preg. again.  I was about 187....I finally started keeping a food log...I track calories, fat, carbs, sugar and protein and I watch what percentage of fat and carbs and protein make up my daily calories.  Most days I try to stay around 1500 calories and then randomly allow myself to go more.  Kind of keeping my metabolism guessing so it doesn't adjust itself to my daily intake.  So far I've lost about 5 lbs and I've only been doing this about 2 weeks.  I still eat when I'm hungry but I watch WHAT I eat...I realized I was eating probably 3000 to 3500 calories most days...no wONDER i got fat.  If Im having a day where I'm particularly hungry I get sunflower seeds...they keep my mouth busy to keep me from eating but becuase it they have to be shelled i don't eat as many.   Another thing I'm trying to do.....little changes....not parking so close to the front at walmart or other stores... at work...instaed of trying to do everything away from my desk in one trip i make several.  Instead of asking my kids to pick things up, I bend over and do it myself.  Every little bit helps.  The whole "breastfeeding helps you lose weight" thing...if you ask me it's a crock...everytime I've done it I gained weight.  Seemed like I could never get enough to eat or drink.

a weight loss pill is not healthy at all! And once you stop the pill you gain all the weight back plus some.. the only way to loose weight in a healthy matter is to diet and exercise.. if you are too busy for the gym invest in a workout video for at home or go for walks with your baby..  make sure you aren't drinking alot of your calories.. soda, fruit juice, coffee drinks all have lots of calories.. eat fruits and veggies..  there is no magic pill that will make you keep the weight off... its a lifestyle choice. You are gonna have to commit to working out and eating healthy.
