when should baby turn head down?

hi girls,

i am very concerned about a c-section.  i am in my 32nd week (31wk4days) of pregnancy.  my little girl seems to be sideways (transverse).  should i be concerned?  when should i expect her to turn head down?  once she's head down, will she stay that way??  i really don't want to have a c-section.  have any of you had your baby sideways 8 weeks before delivery??

im 35 + weeks and your baby still has plenty of time to turn around they say 36 weeks and on is when the baby starts to make the transition so you can relax your baby has alot of time to turn around

Krissy, your baby still has time. I think my midwife wanted to see that Jeremiah was in position by the 35th or 36th week. He was in position by week 35. But he was a big baby and ran out of room! Your baby may be smaller and right now still has room to move around a bit....but give her time...hopefully she'll be head down by 36 weeks! I have a friend who just had a baby 2 weeks ago and she was a week overdue, but her baby was breech and turned around the day before her scheduled c-section! Just thought that would encourage you a bit! Try getting on all fours and start rocking...that can help to get her in position. But you still have time, don't worry!

As long as you feel comfortable, you can rock all day! lol. I use to do it several times a day for like 10-15 min. Also, while you are on all fours....kinda suck your belly up and arch your back up and then release...it's a really good stretch and helps move the baby in the right position.

oh yea...another trick that my midwife did for me was....get on all fours...and get a small blanket (well someone else has to do this part for you) but put it under your belly....the best way to explain it would be if someone put the blanket under you and was going to life you up with the blanket. they stand behind you and pull the blanket in an upward motion one side and then pull the other side very quickly. And you keep going back and forth like that for  5-10 min. It actually feels really good for you and also helps move the baby into position. I hope I explained that okay...I'm horrible when it comes to descriptions!! But my midwife did that for me when I was just about to go into labor with Jeremiah...I think I was almost 38 weeks.
