I just found out im about a month pregnant, i usually smoke a pack a day. But ive only been smoking a few or just half one so i guess am i harming anything by still smoking long as im cutting back and quiting? I never smoked with my first pregnancy so just worried.

I still smoked in my first trimester. Its best not to go cold turkey, I smoked a pack a day. I cut down first to only 5 or 6 then eventually to 2 or 3 some days I only would smoke one and a half. One day I woke up and it made me gag so I put it out and haven't smoked since. I quit at about 13 weeks. I still get cravings though because my boyfriend smokes but I've been strong and tell myself no.

Don't quit cold turkey as it can harm you and baby due to withdrawal and stress. Well done for cutting down so much already though! I still struggle sometimes with not smoking as much but it gets better with time x

Everytime you inhale nicotine it immediately gets passed to your baby through the umbilical cord that connects the both of you together. It retains oxygen from your baby's brain and can cause serious defects. Check out the video on babycenter.com i personally would stop the moment i found out i was pregnant. No passed judgement. Just me.

Ill be 12 weeks Wednesday and I was told not to stop completely in first trimester because your body can still reject the baby I've slowed down from a pack a day to 4-8 a day and I have a vaporizor also so that does help and my baby is fine

You have to stop asap. I was smoking weed in my first weeks and I was just feeling like ****. So I stop. I know one of my classmate I had was smoking cigs when pregnant and she had misscarriage :( Good luck!!!

everyone has it's own opinions , but it's not pretty with a belly.
