Thanks ladies! You have been very helpful
I tore with my first and its not that bad. A tip I was really scared to go number 2 because I was afraid it would hurt but dont worry it will be all fine just use the Peri bottle and shower and you will do great !
I got a third degree tear two weeks ago and it still hasn't healed. But using hot water in the squirt bottle to clean myself has been a life saver, if you tear just make sure you rest and don't overdo anything it'll make you more sore down there
Oh yeah. Its called a peri bottle. You fill it with leuk warm water and squirt. They will also give you a creme to put on your pads and it sanitizes/sterilizes, and numbs you. Plus you still shower every day and can take baths and when you do that cleans you too. I was able to take baths as soon as I got home (the day after birth and stitching) and it actually feels really good. Youre so swollen its ridiculous, just sitting back for that little bit in water was great :) I had a 3rd degree tear and the only thing that sucked was if I went too long without putting the foam cream on the pad and got up in the middle of the night I could feel a little uncomfortable tugging. Also ill warn you now. You will or can get sharp muscle like pains in your clitoris area. All those muscles were stretched and exhausted and as they shrink back up it can cause some sharp pains there off and on. 7wks post partum it was gone. Good luck momma its really over before you know it! :)
It's a bottle, I didn't feel clean til a few days after cus it hurt so bad. But honestly feeling yucky wasnt my main focus lol. A week later w/ my nonprego jeans & some makeup made up for it.
You probably won't just feel all that clean but helps i promise that bottle is a life saver
I showered at the hospital but I was taking baths at home it's a lot better I tore real bad u just wash it gently do not scrub because it will b so sensitive and don't want to mess up the stitches
Lol but you still feel clean with that bottle?
They will give you a squirting bottle... that's all you can really do till it heals. It's not bad!
