Type 1 here and pregnant at 30..I have been on antibiotics to clear up a bladder infection for over a month.
The doctor wants to try one more round and if that doesn't work, put me on a low dose daily till I deliver.
I deliver in late June. Will antibiotics hurt my unborn child and what may I expect from it?
Many anitibiotics prescribed are definitely okay during pregnancy. I too have had problems with UTI's (17.5 weeks prego). I finished my 3rd dose of antibiotics a week and a bit ago and it seems like it's coming back. I can't seem to get rid of it. If I don't get more relief within a week I will be going back to the doc. Probably be put on a low dose such as you. Apparently, if the UTI is not cleared up immediately, it can lead to premature labour which is why it's important to control the infection at least until after delivery.
