Jus got back from the doctors.. I had my ultrasound done . M 37+5 n my baby weighed 7lb 12ounces..I am really small myself.. doc said if c gts almost 9lb by next week theyll have to induce me. Has anyone had a baby this big at this stage? I dun wanna end up wid a c-section :/

Those ultrasounds are definately not accurate, i had 4 growth scans in my later stage of pregnancy, and at 36 weeks was told he weighed 5lb 9oz. He was born at 39 weeks weighing 5lb 13oz! My 2nd son was supposed to weigh 5lb 7oz at 38 weeks, and he was 4lb 14oz! So please don't rely on these scans for accuracy.

Thanks guys!! I jus hope for a natural delivery cuz c section is my biggest fear.. but wtever is good for me n the baby I guess !!

38 weeks is considered full term. They do that because it can be dangerous to deliver big babies, you can hemorrhage and need blood transfusions, my sister was really tiny and she had to have a c-section because her baby was too big to birth him naturally, everyone is different but you and baby will be fine :)

My husbands mom said he was 11 pounds when he was born. She wasn't induced

Yup thts wt mine said .. we will try going natural but anything can happen.. we r just waiting till my next week appoinment n see how everything goes ... hoping for the best..thankyou goodluck to u too..how far along are u now?

My son measured 8lbs and 10oz at 37weeks but the further along u are the more inaccurate ultra sound is so don't freak to much my doctor said it can be off by a pound in a half. Unfortunately in my situation he thinks my baby is bigger then the 8lbs. My dr said he will allow me to try naturally but don't be shocked when I need c section so just ask. Im sure your Dr doing whats best for u n baby good luck
